The majority of pages in the Investment Management tab contain grids of information. With exceptions noted in the specific sections, these grids contain many common controls that function the same across all grids. These common controls are described below:
Search
Grids containing a search box can be used to quickly find or narrow your results. The specific search field is noted in each search box, such as Target Name or Brokerage Account Number. Grids update dynamically as you enter search criteria. Clear the search box to return to the full view.
Refresh
Most grids have a Refresh button to refresh the list without having to refresh the entire page. The location of the icon can vary by page.
Filter
Most grids have Filter controls, allowing you to apply search criteria to the grid to narrow results. The specific criteria available to filter by varies by grid and is noted in the individual help article.
Sort
Click any column header to sort by the contents of that column in ascending order. Click the column header again to sort in descending order. Click a third time to remove the sort.
Page Controls
In the upper right of most grids are standard page controls. Select how many rows per page to view or navigate between pages using these controls.
Column Chooser
Click in the upper right of the grid to rearrange or hide/show grid columns when available.
Select, Select Page, Select All
Many grids have checkboxes at the start of each line item. Use these boxes to select multiple items for bulk operations.
Selecting the checkbox in the upper left of the grid will select the entire content of the current page of the grid.
Selecting the current page will present a new option to Select All ### where ### is the total number of entries in all pages of the current grid.
