Setting Risk Tolerance Questionnaire Logic Rules
Logic Rules allow you to control which questions or which answers in a question remain visible based on the answers to a previous question.
For example, you may want to ask a question about a 401k investment, but only if the user has a 401k. You can create a question asking if the user has a 401k, and then hide the follow-up question if the answer is no.
Logic rules are followed top to bottom by the system. They should be created in the order that they will be encountered in your planned Questionnaire.
Logic rules are established after you have created a Questionnaire. To set up a logic rule:
- Navigate to Grow Practice > Customization > Questionnaires.
- Locate the Questionnaire you want to create a Logic Rule for and click Go to list under the Logic Rules column.
- Click + Add new under Rules.
- Select the Question whose answer will affect another question. Only Multiple Choice style questions are eligible.
- Select the Answer that will trigger changing another question.
- Select the Dependent Question that will be changed by the selected Answer.
- Under the Answers column, select how the Dependent Question is affected. Select particular answer options to hide or Hide entire question as needed.
- Repeat the process for any additional Questions and Answers you need to trigger changes.
- Click Update at any time to save your progress. Click Update and close to save and return to the Questionnaire list.
