Below you will find details about how to configure each of the possible Question Display Types.
Slider Question Responses
If Slider is chosen as the Display type:
- Under Answer Sliders at the bottom of the New/Edit Question form, click + Add new.
- Set a label for the slider in the Text field.
- Set the values for the slider:
- Min value: The lowest value the user can select.
- Max value: The largest value the user can select.
- Default value: The value the slider will start at.
- Step: The increments by which the user can adjust the slider.
- If needed, set the Value field parameter:
- DEFAULT: Slider increments numerically from min to max value.
- AND_UP: Same as DEFAULT except the max value has a plus sign (+).
- DOLLARS ($k): Slider scale is given in thousands of dollars.
- DOLLARS: Slider scale is given in dollars.
- DOLLARS_AND_UP: Same as DOLLARS except the max value has a plus sign (+).
- PERCENT: Slider scale is given in percentage.
- YEARS: Slider scale is given in years.
- If needed, adjust the Param scale min and Param scale max. This weighs the results of the user’s answer in the Parameter for the question. If the scale is set in such a way that a lower response is better, then these numbers should be reversed. (For example, a lower Age would indicate a higher Risk Tolerance, so the min weighting would be higher than the max weighting.)
Multiple Choice Question Responses
If Multiple Choice is chosen as the Display type:
- Under Answer Choices at the bottom of the New/Edit Question form, click + Add new.
