Customizing the Model for an Existing Account

Customizing the Model for an Existing Account

If your firm settings allow for editing and customizing a model during proposal creation, it is also possible to customize an account’s model after the account has been opened using the process below.

If you simply want to switch an account to a different pre-defined model instead, see Viewing and Adjusting Model Assignments instead.

Customizing the Assigned Model

  1. Create an Opportunity. Create the Opportunity for the existing Client and during the creation process, select the Account you want to customize the model for.
  2. Find the new Opportunity in the Grow Practice Dashboard and click + Proposal.
  3. Select Portfolio Builder Only from the drop-down.
  4. Customize the Portfolio as needed (See Advisor-led Proposal (Risk Based) > Completing the Portfolio Builder for details.

Users of the Client Portal will see the change on their next login. A new IPS will be generated.
