Generating Fee-Billing Invoices
Firms have the ability to quickly generate, preview, and share invoices with clients to provide detailed information regarding how their fees were calculated. Visibility for individual invoices may be controlled per-client.
Generating Invoices for Clients
Prior to generating invoices, the billing period must be locked.
- Navigate to Run Business > Revenue.
- Click the next to the Lock Period toggle.
- Click Generate Invoices.
- Confirm that you wish to generate invoices for all accounts. As soon as you click confirm, all end-clients will be emailed a notice that they have a new invoice available in the Client Portal.
Note: If you have disabled the Documents section of the Client Portal either globally or for a particular Client, they will still receive an email that a new document is available, even though they will not be able to access it without the Documents section enabled.
