Hiding Features

Hiding Features

If your firm does not use particular areas of AdvisorEngine CRM, these features can often be hidden from view using Security Groups and Feature Security.

To hide features, you must first create a User Group with no members.

  1. Navigate to Settings > User Group Management.
  2. Click Add New Group.
  3. Name the group Hide_Features (or another similar name of your choosing) and do not add any users.
  4. Click Save.

Once the Group is saved and created, you can assign this Group to an unneeded feature.

  1. Navigate to Settings > Feature Security.
  2. Click Edit.
  3. Find the feature that you would like to hide and set the Group to Hide_Features.
  4. Click Save.

The next time each User logs in, features set will no longer be visible to them.

Note:
There are three sections that cannot be set to a Hide_Features group: Settings, Feature Security, and User Group Management, as they are required for setup.
