Microsoft Exchange: Determining Your Service URL

Microsoft Exchange: Determining Your Service URL

When setting up Microsoft Exchange email and calendar integration for your firm, it is necessary to know your unique Exchange Service URL. If you do not already know it, this can be found through Microsoft Outlook by running the Test Email AutoConfiguration procedure.

  1. With Outlook running on your PC, find the Outlook icon in your system tray. You may need to expand hidden system tray icons to see it.
  2. Hold Ctrl on your keyboard and click the Outlook icon to open the extended menu.
  3. Click Test E-mail AutoConfiguration.
  4. Enter your password for Outlook in the Password box.
  5. Clear the Use Guessmart and Secure Guessmart Authentication checkboxes.
  6. Click Test. This may take up to a minute or longer depending on your connection.

When the testing finishes, the results log will have your Availability Service URL in the Results log as shown below.

In this example, the URL you will enter in Provider Setup is
https://outlook.office365.com/EWS/Exchange.asmx. Copy the URL to use in step 5 of the Microsoft Exchange: Firm Setup.
