File Not Downloading When Selected

Downloading a file from AdvisorEngine CRM may seem to fail without any error.

This typically occurs as a result of pop-up blocker settings in your browser. Check your address bar for an indicator:

Though you can circumvent the immediate pop-up block by clicking this icon and allow the download, a more permanent solution is to add advisorengine.com to your web browser’s pop-up exceptions. See below for the steps particular to your browser.

Google Chrome

  1. Click More in the upper right of Google Chrome.
  2. Click Settings.
  3. On the left navigation, click Security and Privacy.
  4. Under Security and Privacy, click Site Settings.
  5. Under the Content heading, Click Pop-ups and redirects.
  6. In Allowed to send pop-ups and use redirects section, click Add.
  7. In the Site text box, enter exactly [*.]advisorengine.com.
  8. Click Add.
  9. Return to AE CRM, refresh your webpage, and attempt the download again.

Mozilla Firefox

  1. Click More in the upper right of Mozilla Firefox.
  2. Click Settings.
  3. Click the Privacy & Security section on the left.
  4. Scroll down to the Permissions section and to the right of Block pop-up windows, click Exceptions.
  5. Click Popups.
  6. In the Address of website text box, enter exactly https://advisorengine.com.
  7. Click Allow.
  8. Click Save Changes.
  9. Return to AE CRM, refresh your webpage, and attempt the download again.

Microsoft Edge

  1. Click Settings and more in the upper right of Microsoft Edge.
  2. Click Settings.
  3. Click the Cookies and site permissions section.
  4. In the Site Permissions list, click Pop-ups and redirects.
  5. In the Allow section click Add.
  6. In the Site text box, enter exactly [*.]advisorengine.com.
  7. Click Add.
  8. Return to AE CRM, refresh your webpage, and attempt the download again.
