Client-led Account Transfers (Pershing)

If the feature is enabled in the Client Portal configuration, Clients may request an Asset transfer into an existing Account in the Portfolio Manager. The Client fills in all necessary details, electronically signs the request, and the request is sent to Pershing.

The full process is detailed below.

Client Account Transfer Request

The process is begun from the Client Portal. The following steps describe the Account Transfer request from the client perspective:

  1. After logging in to the Client Portal, select the Transfer tab.
  2. At the bottom of the Account Transfers box, click Request Account Transfer.
  3. Select the receiving Account, the Account type you are transferring from, along with all requested Account details. Click NEXT to proceed.
  4. Select if the source account is held at Pershing or not. If the source account is held at Pershing, only a full transfer is available.
  5. Select whether to make a Full Transfer or Partial Transfer of assets.
  6. Enter the required details of the transfer based on your selection. If you are doing a partial transfer, you may add multiple items to transfer. Click NEXT to proceed.
  7. Upload the required documentation, usually a recent statement from the source account. Click NEXT to proceed.
  8. Review the transfer request details and click SIGN NOW to initiate and complete the signing process.

A success confirmation prompt will appear and an email is received acknowledging the submission.
