Marking an Account as Closed

Marking an Account as Closed

Accounts can be marked as closed in the Portfolio Manager to stop all trading, billing, and exclusion from performance reporting from the closing date set.

This process does NOT close the account with the custodian, it only marks the account as closed in the Portfolio Manager.

This process cannot be undone, please use caution when marking an account closed.

Marking an Account Closed

  1. Use the Universal Search or the Manage Clients Dashboards to locate and open the account you want to mark closed.
  2. In the upper right of the summary, select Action > Close Account.
  3. In the pop-up, enter a As Of date for the closure and click Yes, Close Account.

The Overview section of the Account profile will update to show closed and the date set.
